I often start blogging, then stop, because it takes time, I like to add a picture or interesting thoughts, but what the hell. It's my blog. A way for me to chronicle things so I'll do it the way I want to, if and when I want to and that's that.
Now that we have that out of the way.
On November 30th I was tied for my heaviest weight of the year and have tried reigning in the inner #fatderek for a more reasonable, watch your calories and get your shit together version.
I weighed in at 227.6 today and am determined to finish the year lower than were I started it (226).
I hit the gym at lunch for the second day in a row and just ran today.
I was slow, and I walked half but it felt okay. I'd been scared to start running again until yesterday because I suck at it. But the 10 minutes went fine yesterday and it gets my heart rate going good so today I ran.
1:30 Walk / 1:30 Run x 10.
30 minutes on the treadmill, half walking at 3.0, half running at 5.0. Trying to to go overboard and try to run fast at this point, just getting it done.
Chicken Caesar and a muscle milk for lunch. Outback tonight, hopefully the extra walking I do there will burn more calories if I don't snack on anything.

Is been thinking about joining planet fitness for over a month. It's 6 minutes from work and easy enough to get to for a good lunch workout. It has a great rate and now that we aren't paying for the Y ( we canceled after not going for over 3 months) I decided to take the plunge in Black Friday.
Yesterday was my first lunch workout and I'm going to try to get at least 2 in a week.
10 minutes biking.
10 minutes treadmill ( 5 run / 5 walk)
Dumbbell chest presses
Muscle milk and a salad for lunch.
Time to get back in the grind.
