Back on course

Well another month has passed without so much as one blog post so I will try to throw a quick update out there.

I was super busy with wedding photography for 4 straight weekends in late may / early June. I've also been golfing quite a bit. I used to golf a lot in 05 and 06 but had kind of let it go. The bug really got me again earlier this year and I've been golfing an average of 2 times a week. Even on the wedding weekends I was doing a Friday afternoon and Sunday tee time. It's nice that I accrue quite a bit of time off at work so I ca take half day's just about every Friday. It may be hot for the weekday afternoon golf but I enjoy the rates then.

Here are the two courses I played last week.
This is Pilot Knob Park in my hometown of Pilot Mountain. It's a semi-private which means I can't play there on the weekends but I was lucky enough to have to be up there (about an hour from where I live now) on business last week and I took the remaining half a day off to go out and play. I shot a 95 which I was really happy with. My game has been getting better. The first few rounds I played this year were in the 115 territory and then I shot a 93 and then about 5 more rounds above 100.

Sunday I played Olde Homeplace
It's another great course and one that I've played fairly often over the years. I really hit the irons solid there and had a blast. Shot a 93. Tied for my best round of the year and I was really happy with the round.

The weather looks wicked hot for the end of the week so stay cool out there.
